Sharing files between Mac and Windows Copies of FrameForge

While the Windows and Mac versions of FrameForge natively use slightly different file formats, it is very easy to transfer it from one to the the other simply by saving it in a Cross-Platform format.  To do so:

  1. Go to the File Menu
  2. Choose Save As...
  3. You will see a drop-down labeled file type; choose a format that says Cross Platform or Compatibility in its name
  4. Give your file a new name and save it.

The resulting file will be somewhat larger than normal, but it can now be opened on either platform.

NOTE: It is HIGHLY recommended that you also Export any non-standard objects or textures and make sure to supply the resulting .cpack file (if any) along with your file to whomever is going to use it on another computer.

See the Related Articles below for details how to do so.
