My set is missing some things!
Okay, you've Reloaded a Shot or used Goto Set to return to a set and it's not what you expected... what do do and why it happened depends on how you got to where you are. Please click the appropriate item below to learn what is going on and how you can change it.
YOUR SET AFTER RELOADING A SHOT
When FrameForge reloads a shot, it loads the set in the exact state it was when the shot was snapped. This means that if you build a set, snap some shots, and then add another actor or make the set more complete, those changes will be stored for all subsequent shots you snap, but when you reload an older snapped shot, these new additions will not be there.
There are two easy solutions to this issue, depending on how many shots you need to update.
CUTTING AND PASTING "MISSING" ACTORS/OBJECTS
Again, I put "missing" in quotes because they aren't technically missing, they simply hadn't been added yet to the set. One solution in this case would be to simply open a shot where the set is more complete, SELECT the "missing" objects, COPY THEM then return to shot to which you want to add them and PASTE THEM IN.
This is quick and dirty way to add them into a single shot, but if you've snapped a bunch of shots prior to fully dressing a set or location, then you should instead use the PERCOLATE OBJECTS (ADD IF MISSING) function found under the PERCOLATE menu.
You may also notice that there is a PERCOLATE SET STATE menu item on the percolate menu. You might think that this is what you need but that function percolates the set's general settings such as the sky/ground texture or color, inset floor visibility and so on, and will NOT percolate objects, only the general state of the set.
YOUR SET AFTER USING GOTO SET
As mentioned elsewhere, the sets used by the Goto Set function are automatically updated whenever you leave a set so that they are the most "complete" version of that set that you've built.
Thus, without you doing anything special, FrameForge will automatically update your stored set with your latest additions any time you exit a set and the current version of that set has more objects in it than the previously saved version. In most cases, this should give you exactly what you want, but there are some cases when it can give you either a set that is over-cluttered or one that is missing some objects you expect it to have.
This latter case can happen if you reload a shot that had a less complete version of the set than what you've later built, BUT you add enough additional objects so that when you exit it, there are still more objects currently on the set than the previously saved version.
