How can I drop something from an actor's hand?

Problem:  I have an actor holding something and I want to have them let go of it but I can't select the object to delete it.

Solution:  If, when you select an actor, both it and an object in his/her hand is selected and yet the status bar says only one object is selected, then the two objects are glued together.   This is done so that as you pose the actor, the object in his/her hand will go with them.

To UNGLUE them, simply RIGHT-CLICK (COMMAND-CLICK on the Mac) the actor and choose either "UNGLUE" OBJECTS or "UNGLUE" ALL OBJECTS. You can then select the object in their hands by clicking or SHIFT-CLICKING (which selects/de-selects only the object you're clicking on) as appropriate.
