Having the camera "see through" objects on set
Question: Can I prevent an object from blocking a shot without actually moving or deleting the object from the set?
If you've created a sound stage-type set with moveable flats for walls, FrameForge allows you to "hide" a wall from a particular camera’s view without actually breaking your set or altering the view from any other camera. Here’s how to do it:
-
Double-click the monitor of the desired camera to switch to Camera View mode for that camera.
-
Click the front wall of the set. If the flat has doors or windows in it only a portion of the wall will actually be selected; this is because doors and windows automatically subdivide the wall into pieces. Don’t worry about it.
-
Click the Hide Object from View button located to the left of the camera controls.
-
The selected wall section becomes invisible to the camera. If necessary, select other wall sections and repeat steps 2 and 3 until you can see the objects on the set to your satisfaction.
