I updated FrameForge but now I'm having new problems

In certain rare cases, an update that we post may have a conflict with something specific on your system and you find that you cannot run or use the program due to an unexpected bug.

If this is your case, please do the following:

1) Take a screen shot of any error message and send it to support@frameforge.com along with a detailed "recipe" how to reproduce the problem.  In other words, something like the following (hypothetical) instructions:

  • I open the program by double clicking the program icon.
  • I then open my file by going to the FIle Menu and selecting it from the list of recent files.
  • When I try to drag in a chair it gives me the following message (Screen Shot) and I am unable to continue.  This happens regardless as to which chair I select, though I can drag in other objects without problem.

2) Once you have given us this recipe and screen shot of whatever error you are experiencing, you should then roll-back to a previous version by doing the following:

WINDOWS:

  1. Close FrameForge if it is currently running
  2. In Windows Explorer, go to the FrameForge Storyboard Studio Program folder.   (Most likely C:\program files\FrameForge Storyboard Studio 4.0)
  3. In that folder you'll find a program entitled WebGragFF4.exe and double-click it to launch it.  Then choose Roll Back to a Previous Version.
  4. Roll Back to the previous version and see if that solves your problem.  If it does not, then roll back to the next older and so on.

MAC OSX:

  1. Close FrameForge if it is currently running
  2. In a finder window click the FILE menu an select FIND
  3. Type WebGrab-FF4 into the search window and then double-click the application when it finds it.  Next click Roll Back to Older FrameForge
  4. Roll Back to the previous version and see if that solves your problem.  If it does not, then roll back to the next older and so on.
